The South Pattaya Daily Market

.
A very large market worth visiting is the South Pattaya Daily Market. It is under roof and on South Pattaya Rd about 250 meters from the crossing with 2nd Road and infront the largest wat inside the city.
.
It is not for tourists and it is what makes it so interesting to visit and, at the same time, one of the place where to find the cheapest prices for all kind of goods. It is where to go to have a quick look at the real Thailand and how Thai people behave when they are between themselves.

Yes all these shops and stalls are on the large picture on the middle. First from the left you had a food cart vendor, next the flowers stall, it self followed by a fruit vendor and another food stall and, in the back ground you see the large store of a goldsmith with infront the small stall from a real-estate company (sic).

Now go inside the alley and look to all the different stalls. You will arrive at a kind of crossing with another large alley that surround the food market which is in the middle and  also is worth a look. If you are looking for cheap clothes and dresses follow the alley and turn around the food market. here haggle is the name of the game

In front you have a caterer "Thai style". They are a necessity and, if good cook, they make quite well as a lot of the city people live in small apartment with no kitchen and therefore have or to eat outside or to buy meals already cooked, Dishes cost around 25-30 baht for one serving and are sold packed to take home in Styrofoam box or plastic bags. BBQ of pork or chicken cost even less, between 10 and 15 baht,
